AGENDA

• We have come together to collaborate interactively and share ideas to better the technology education and integration for our campus as we strive to meet the goals set forth in the Long-Range Plan for Technology, 2006-2010.

• As educators, our goal is to empower and enable young citizens to live and interact in a continuously changing global marketplace.

1. Community members create a shared vision.
   • Purpose: To create a unified vision for integrating technology into all subject areas.
   • Description: Members will be able to share ideas and comments using the community wiki.
   • Action: Members should collaborate with other members at least twice per week to share ideas and thoughts on a common vision.
   • Deadline: February 20, 2009.
2. Integrate technology more effectively in our classrooms.
   • Purpose: To prepare our students to use technology in all facets of learning.
   • Description: Have all faculty using technology in their classrooms at least two class periods per week.
   • Action: Create a committee to create a report on current technology use in the classroom and how to implement our goal of using technology at least two class periods per week.
   • Deadline: April 30, 2009.
3. Share/Discuss technology lesson plans with colleagues.
   • Purpose: To allow colleagues to share technology with others.
   • Description: Create a campus database for faculty to use in their subject areas.
   • Action: Teachers will post lesson plans to a community wiki page to share with colleagues. Then, create a task force to compile all lesson plans into a database that is accessible to all faculty on campus.
   • Deadline: March 31, 2009. (Lesson plans can continue to be added as they are submitted)
4. More in-depth professional development in the area of technology integration.
   • Purpose: To have a campus with 21st century-minded professionals and educators.
   • Description: Develop teachers in the use of technology in their specific subject areas.
   • Action: Survey teachers as to their specific needs and desires in order to efficiently and effectively use technology at least two class period per week.
   • Deadline: February 27, 2009.
5. Option for faculty to submit lesson plans electronically
   • Purpose: To facilitate the submission and collection of lesson plans.
   • Description: Create a campus environment that fosters technology use.
   • Action: Create a template lesson plan form for teachers to use (or allow them to use their own). Get principal approval.
   • Deadline: February 13, 2009.
